Call Gary at 850-656-5758 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Eastern Time Zone) Monday -
Friday to place your order.
For Astrologers, CitiesDatabank is already in chart format!
Birth charts for 1,565 municipalities (29 cities have more than one chart
so it contains a total of 1,595 charts) are available on a CD that
sells for $42 + $6 shipping and handling (by first class mail). At the
present time, the database of municipal birth charts is available in Solar
Fire 5.0 format or Win*Star 1.x or 2.x, which can be used by higher
(later) versions of these programs as well. Documentation is included for
each chart only in the Solar Fire format
(see chart documentation in
CitiesDatabank for a complete list of data included
therein). If you have a different astrology software program than Solar
Fire or Win*Star, check the documentation for your program to
see if it imports charts from Solar Fire. Imported charts may not
include all of the information in the documentation field of Solar Fire
charts. Although the charts you receive are calculated with Gary's
preferences (i.e. geocentric, tropical zodiac, Regiomontanus houses), you can
change the chart parameters to those you prefer once you have loaded the cities
into your astrology program.
For Non-Astrology Customers, municipalities data in CitiesDatabank
are now available in Microsoft Access format.
The advantage of ordering municipal birth dates in database format is that
source documentation for the date of earliest self-government can be included
and more data elements for each municipality are available in this format than in
Microsoft Excel format (see below). Examples of parameters you could
use to select municipalities from the repository database include but are not
limited to: municipalities in a particular state; municipalities in
specific counties of a particular state; municipalities above or below a specific
population threshold or within a range (using the 2000 Census data);
municipalities in a particular Census Bureau region, or municipalities that
became self-governing prior to or after a specific date. At the present
time, there are more than 3,800 municipalities from 48 states in the Microsoft Access
repository database but Gary is still in the process of entering all of the
municipalities for which he has the date of earliest self-government. When
this task is completed, the database will contain dates for more than 6,000 U.S.
municipalities.
Rates:
25¢ per municipality in multiple states (600 municipalities or more).
50¢ per municipality in one or more states (51-599 municipalities).
$1 per municipality in one or more states (minimum of 10 and up to 50
municipalities).
This format includes the following data elements for each municipality you
request:
Municipality name.
State in which it is located.
County (or counties) in which it is located (when applicable).
Present style (e.g. city,
consolidated city,
independent city, town, township, village, or borough).
2000 Census population.
Date of earliest
self-government (e.g. 1st incorporation, self-governing, 1st
town meeting) in either or both of two date formats.
Date type (e.g. 1st incorporation, self-governing, consolidation, merger).
Additionally, you may request any number of the following data elements, if you
order the Microsoft Access format:
Whether the municipality is a county seat and/or state capital.
The event that happened on the above date (e.g. was passed, approved, in force or
effective).
Style when 1st incorporated or when it became self-governing and if it was under
a different name or in a different county.
Source documentation of the date of earliest self-government or incorporation
(e.g. legislative act, book, state repository).
Former name(s), when applicable; this field may also include the date of change
to the present name.
Other municipal/political entities with the same name (e.g. townships), when
applicable.
Date of earliest incorporation as a town, township, village, or borough (missing
or not applicable in some cases).
Date of incorporation as a city (missing or not applicable in numerous cases).
For Non-Astrology Customers, municipalities data in CitiesDatabank
are also available in Microsoft Excel format.
The disadvantage to ordering cities in spreadsheet format is that source documentation
for the date of earliest self-government for each municipality is not included
and some data elements in the repository database are not available in this
format. Examples of parameters you could use to select municipalities from
the database include but are not limited to: municipalities in a particular
state; municipalities in specific counties of a particular state; municipalities

For All Customers, the date of earliest self-government is also available
for individual municipalities in CitiesDatabank (with or without source
documentation) by phone or e-mail:
$3 for each municipality on your custom list (minimum of 3 and up to 9
municipalities)
$5 for one municipality
$7 for two municipalities
